Changelog
Features, improvements, and fixes.
Added
- Export the current page comparison as PDF in Unified or Side-by-side view for sharing, review, and archiving.
- Keep the selected page versions, difference highlights, and supported rich content in a printable document. Long comparisons continue across multiple pages.
- Choose Export → Export PDF in the results toolbar, then save as PDF in the browser print dialog.
Improved
- YouTube, Vimeo, and Spotify links use saved metadata and bundled illustrations in both the comparison and PDF, without loading external players or requesting provider thumbnails.
Printing tips
Enable background graphics if difference highlight colors are missing. For a narrow Side-by-side preview, choose A3 landscape. Fonts and pagination depend on your browser and print settings.
Improved
- More accurate comparisons for tables, multi-column layouts, and panels, preserving content in its correct location when cells, columns, or entire sections change.
- Change navigation automatically opens the relevant collapsed sections and scrolls horizontally to reveal changes in wide tables and long code lines.
- Clearer highlighting for heading levels, list structure, line breaks, and paragraph merges.
- More consistent English, Simplified Chinese, German, and Japanese labels for panels and Smart Link controls, using official Atlassian translations.
Fixed
- In Unified view, deleted content now retains date and status displays, code-block line numbers, and expandable sections that can still be opened and closed.
Added
- Automatically record each user’s visit time and page version when they open or refresh a published standard Confluence page.
- Compare the version from your previous visit with the current version directly from the page title area to quickly see what changed.
Added
- Initial release of Compare Any Two Pages – Visual Diff for Confluence.
- Two ways to begin: open the app from Confluence Apps, or use a Page, Live doc, or Blog post’s More actions menu to compare the content already in view.
- Compare any two supported pieces of Confluence content, or compare two versions of the same content, with explicit Before and After direction.
- Find content by title, full Confluence URL, numeric content ID, or recently edited items, while respecting the current user’s Confluence access.
- Select Latest version or pin either side to a numbered historical version, with newest-first loading and access to older versions.
- Review one semantic comparison in Unified or Side-by-side view, including meaningful text, heading, list, task, table, link, media, and macro changes.
- Navigate changes with the change count, current/total position, Previous and Next controls, synchronized scrolling, and focused highlighting.
- Refresh the selected snapshots, swap Before and After, return to page selection, or open either original item in Confluence.
- Reopen up to 10 recent exact-version comparisons saved for the current user.
- Localized product interface for English (US), Simplified Chinese, German, and Japanese, including locale-aware version dates.
- Safe read-only fallbacks for content that cannot reproduce its complete native Confluence runtime.
Scope and data
The app reads only content available to the current Confluence user and does not edit, merge, publish, or roll back source content. Recent history stores comparison references and version numbers, not page bodies, attachments, or complete comparison results.
